Tell me if you think this beauty product is a work of genius or it is all just fluff.
Named Huge Lips Skinny Hips, this cosmetic comes from New York’s Purple Lab. It’s actually a lip gloss with a very special ingredient — the Hoodia Gordoni. If you aren’t familiar with it, Hoodia is an appetite suppressant and it is found in many slimming pills and diet pills. It works be emitting a similar glucose substance which tricks your brain into thinking it is actually full.
Purple Lab believes they have found the one beauty product “women have always dreamed about”. The idea behind this is from Karen Robinovitz, marketing consultant.
Aside from Hoodia, the lip gloss also contains Vitamin B3 for proper blood simulation, reducing wrinkles on the lip’s edge. Lemon peel oil is also an active ingredient and works to give the lips a really cool and moisturized texture. Huge Lips Skinny Hips comes in exciting six shades with cool names such as Red Sole (in honor of the Lauboutin footwear) or Workship Kate (a pink variant in honor of model, Kate Moss). The lip gloss comes in a sweet bubble gum fragrance.
Essentially, when you’re feeling hungry for example, applying this product several times on the lips should help curb your desire and hunger pangs. But does this product actually work? Or is this all marketing hype? Is this going to be how make-ups will become in the future? Will a product like this actually pick up?
The product is supposedly available at Space NK
