If it weren't for the presence of my neighbors, I would've let out an exceedingly emphatic exclaim of "Ashish!" upon seeing a box from Arcadia Group on my doorstep today. Yes, my beloved Ashish for Topshop wedges finally arrived after a long week of anticipation and excitement. In typical fashion blogger style, I'm gushing about them to all my friends and now, to my readers. With six full inches of height, a zebra print, and pony skin texture, they're certainly not for the faint at heart. As soon as I put them on, I experienced what it's like to be tall...well at least taller than the average American woman. After becoming accustomed to my newfound and much appreciated height, I took them for a spin at Trader Joe's, where more than one extended stare made me chuckle in amusement as I stood perched on these odd beauties with armfuls of fruit and yogurt. As a testament to the comfort and stability of these wedges, I successfully carried two heavy bags of groceries up a steep flight of stairs without incident. Now I know that I previously complained about the price, but I'm confident that they're worth every penny (especially after seeing how much they're currently going for on ebay). I can't wait to style these "hooves" in funkier emsembles once the weather cools down.
